All analysis happens locally in your browser:
Store Inspector requests the following permissions:
storage: Allows you to save up to 5 store analyses locally on your device for quick reference. This data never leaves your computer.
activeTab: Grants access to the current tab when you click the extension icon, enabling detection of Shopify themes, apps, and pixels on the page you're viewing.
host_permissions: Enables the extension to scan web pages for Shopify-specific information. All scanning happens locally in your browser with no external data transmission.
Store Inspector does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The extension is completely self-contained and operates 100% locally.
Since we don't collect or transmit any data, there are no security concerns related to data breaches or unauthorized access. All information analyzed by Store Inspector remains on your device under your control.
Store Inspector does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Our extension operates entirely locally and does not collect any user information.
We will update this privacy policy if our data practices change in future versions. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. We recommend checking this page periodically if you have concerns.
Since we don't collect any personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete from our servers. You maintain full control over any locally stored data by managing your Chrome extension settings or uninstalling the extension.
